Royal Oak Charcoal 17.6 lb Bags – $7.99!

Royal Oak Lump Charcoal

A few days ago, I saw someone over at the Kamado Guru forums posted that Tractor Supply Company has 17.6 lb bags of Royal Oak lump charcoal on sale for only $7.99 each. I wasn’t in the market for any additional charcoal at the time, but after a couple uses of the Kamado over the last week, including a 12-hour smoke session yesterday, I was down to less than half of my last bag.

Well, I couldn’t be more pleased to report that I was able to pick up a couple bags from my local Home Depot for Tractor Supply Company’s ridiculous low price of only $7.99!

I had the ad pulled up on my phone and scouted out the cashiers for one who looked like she wouldn’t give me a lot of trouble and went for it. She immediately told me that I needed to have a printed ad in hand, but I just told her I didn’t have access to a printer and after a short conversation with her manager, I was one step closer to locking in the deal.

Her manager came to the register, gave the ad a look on my phone, and then green-lighted the transaction. Score!

It’s too bad I don’t have additional storage space in my garage for more, but I’m more than happy to grab a couple bags at nearly half off.

If you’re in the market for a few more bags of Royal Oak, you might want to give this deal a shot. Good luck!

Price Matching at Home Depot is fine but getting them to deduct 10% off the competitors price makes it even better. RO Lump is fine but getting 17.6 pounds of Coshell extruded coconut charcoal from Lowe’s is even better IMHO

Rich, I’ve heard so many other people say that about the Coshell Coconut coal, but haven’t yet had the chance to try it. Next time I’m in Lowe’s and assuming I can pick up a bag at a reasonable price, I’m definitely going to grab one and give it a go.

The Coshell extruded coconut charcoal is not good for Kamados. These are briquets with low burning time and they produce a large volume of ash.
