As Iv’e mentioned previously, I purchased my Kamado Joe through Wayfair.com and was thrilled at not only saving quite a bit of money, but also by everything from their customer service team to even the delivery service gentlemen who loaded the grill into my garage, chatted it up with me about how great my future steaks were going to be, and then politely refused a tip.
When I noticed that my grill hadn’t shipped for a few days (Kamado Joe was having minor supply issues at their warehouse at the time), I emailed Wayfair for an update and was immediately assigned a personal, and ultra friendly representative. He couldn’t have been more kind and informative. He actually took the time to call the Kamado Joe warehouse for me and got a grill set aside to ship that same day! For “my trouble”, he was even kind enough to provide me with yet another 10% off my purchase which completely blew me away being that it was only delayed by a couple days.

It looks as though Wayfair does still carry the Kamado Joe brand as you can still order the grills through their website, however what they have changed is the fact that they’re no longer offering 10% off for first time orders…as best as I can tell anyway.
That being the case, I’m going to reach out to the Wayfair affiliate manager to see if I can get some clarification on this issue. I’ll be sure to leave another comment here as soon as I hear something back.

Lo and behold, I heard back from Wayfair and they did, in fact, confirm that they’re no longer offering the 10% off discount to new customers, unfortunately. I’ve updated this post to reflect that change.
I’m going to spend some time looking into other Kamado deals to see if I can find anything else worth passing along to Kamado Jim readers. Wish me luck!
The pricing has gone up on the Kamado Joes as well on wayfair
I’m better off buying it locally (for $950) now that the price is up $100… probably get better service locally vs. Wayfair. Even with tax I will come out $50 less expensive. Bummer… thought I found a good deal. Let us know if you find another deal like Wayfair was offering. Thanks!
You’re absolutely right, Glenn. Wayfair has recently made a number of changes to their Kamado Joe offerings which no longer make a purchase through them an excellent deal. It was great while it lasted and I know a number of readers were able to score a great deal on a Kamado Joe, but as they say, I suppose all good things must come to an end.
That said though, I do have my eye on another online vendor whose price is right and they offer free shipping. The only caveat is that they always seem to be out of stock! If they can get their supply issues sorted out, they’ll likely become our recommended dealer. Keep an eye out!
Fire craft web site says $999.00 for Kamado Joe stand alone but when you put it in the cart it still say $949.00 and free shipping. They say it will be in stock to ship mid Feb.
Kamado Joe occasionally has a sale at various Costco locations. The discount is serious, much more than10%. I recommend anyone who wants to buy a kamado to investigate.
